Sharon's unique style of simple, soulful songs, bring a breath of fresh air totoday's eclectic music scene. She is currently recording her first CD, which is due out in 2011. Her song, "Following My Feet Around" is a toe tapping, good time, traveling tune, that will bring a happy beat to your heart and a smile to your face. Sharon has performed in Nashville, TN, at the Blue Bird Cafe, competed at songwriter nights in Decatur, GA, at Eddies Attic and in Fernandina Beach, FL at the Frisky Mermaid where she was awarded for her songwriting skills. She has recently won first place in the songwriting competition of the Madison Bluegrass Festival and won top 40 in the International Taylor Guitar and Elixir Strings internet competition and was an honored showcase performer at the Loretta Lynn Songwriters Festival and is in the Guinness Book of World Records for performing in the Worlds Longest Concert. She shares her talents at various Charity events and Festivals around the Southeast. Her passion for Country, Bluegrass and Folk music and the unconditional love of her special needs daughter, Gloria, have been her inspiration for many of her songs. Sharon has been a Montessori teacher for over twenty years. She sees the power of music through the eyes of her children and students. She teaches guitar, dobro and ukulele. As a member of the Georgia Music Industry Association, Sharon tries to help other writers achieve their full potential. "What the world needs now, more than ever, is inspiration and hope.
